Sustainable district solution in Dresden-Behringstraße

Dresden’s energy supply is to become climate-neutral and more independent in the long term. KET had the opportunity to implement a pilot project for this purpose: a digitally controllable district heating network with a large-scale heat pump. By using a modern air-source heat pump, SachsenEnergie is setting another example for climate-friendly heat supply on Behringstraße in Dresden. The project is integrated into a secondary district heating network, making it a forward-looking neighborhood solution.

The aim is to design heat supply in an efficient and sustainable way. By utilizing ambient heat from the air, part of the required energy can be provided with low emissions. This significantly reduces CO₂ emissions and makes an important contribution to climate protection.

The combination of innovative heat pump technology and intelligent network integration enables a flexible and resource-efficient supply within the district. At the same time, the project strengthens the local energy infrastructure and demonstrates how urban areas can be developed sustainably and future-proof.
