Construction of a Modern Heating Plant in Weißwasser
Stadtwerke Weißwasser is investing in a future-proof district heating supply by constructing a new heating plant with a total capacity of 2 × 7.5 MW. The project lays the foundation for a reliable and independent district heating network for the city.
Its primary goal is to strengthen long-term security of supply while reducing dependence on external energy sources, particularly lignite-fired power plants. The new facility enables flexible, demand-driven heat generation tailored to the city's requirements.
Thanks to its modern plant technology, the heating plant not only improves efficiency but also represents a significant step toward a resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure. In doing so, Stadtwerke Weißwasser is making an important contribution to the region's long-term sustainable development.
